My shop in Fakenham is now closed until 9th January 2025.

Should I buy matching jewellery?

Should I buy matching jewellery?

When I am at fairs, I am often asked one question which I find difficult to answer and it is this one... So, whilst in our pop up shop this week, I have been really thinking about what to suggest when asked whether someone should buy a matching set of jewellery.

It would be lovely for me if you were to buy a set of a bee spinning ring, bee studs, bee cuff, bee dangly earrings and bee necklace but really is that a bit too busy?! I think the maximum you should consider is a set of 2 items, either a necklace and pair of earrings, or a cuff and pair of earrings. My little bees are very delicate and little glimpses of the bees are enough, they don't need to be on every piece of jewellery you are wearing!

I love that people do come back and buy several pieces of jewellery for people they love from me and some of my jewellery features hearts in very different guises. In those instances, I think you can wear more than 2 heart pieces of jewellery as they are so varied.

So really I haven't been any help at all in that age old question about whether you should match all your jewellery, but to be honest, its always a personal choice and you will never be wrong! Good luck with that gifting...
