Either measure the internal diameter of a bangle which you wear and is comfortable or, alternatively, tuck your thumb into your palm and wrap a measuring tape around your knuckles. This will give you the circumference measurement you need to size your wrist.
My love for the beach and the sea is reflected in these beautiful bangles. Take a look at my High Tide Wave bangle, the Gentle Tide Wave Bangle and the Open Sea Wave bangle, each of them represent a different vision of the sea which you can see at any time on our beautiful Norfolk coast.
One of my very favourite processes in jewellery making is using a hammer. I find it therapeutic (unless I take my eye off the steel block for a second!) and making stacking bangles gives me an ideal opportunity to use one of my heaviest hammers - a brass headed one. Firstly I make the bangle itself and each bangle is made with thick sterling silver wire which I cut to the right length and send to Birmingham Assay Office to get it hallmarked. Once I have soldered the silver wire in to a circle and hammered it totally flat and round, then I have the fun bit!
Using a die press and the heavy hammer, the bangle is magically transformed in to a wavy bangle. I make three different wavy bangles - a high tide wave bangle, a gentle tide wave bangle and an open sea wave bangle. The curves of each bangle are very different, but all of them different! After a good file and polish, they are ready to be worn - preferably for a walk along the beach.
These bangles can be worn in a variety of ways. The smooth bangle sitting next to the wave bangle gives you that lovely clinking noise, just like the sail in the harbour and if you select a charm, you can add a little round disk with your initial on it to add to your bangle stack. This Gentle Tide Wave Bangle has a gentle curve. The bangles themselves are made with 2.5mm sterling silver wire and a disk measuring approximately 0.8cms can be added as an initial charm, just select your initial at check out.
The bangle itself is hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office with my maker's mark as well as the date stamp and the stamp of the Assay Office which for Birmingham is an anchor. It fits nicely, don't you think?! A hallmark is your guarantee of sterling silver.
This Tidal Wave Bangle comes in a white jewellery box with my logo on it in gold foil. It is tied with ribbon and a thank you card, care card and polishing cloth is included. There is an option to add a gift bag to this order too. If it is a gift, please do let me know your time deadline and I can make sure it arrives before the special day!
